- Amy loves to draw and color. She spends hours with a pen, marker, crayon, or chalk in hand; luckily she hasn't hit too many walls yet. If she isn't coloring she's wanting me or daddy to color (she seems to prefer her dad's drawing to mine). She'll normally tell us what she wants drawn. I'm now really good at drawing stars!
- She calls my dad "ampa (growl growl)" because my dad likes to talk to her in a raspy voice like "donald duck". She calls Kenny's dad "ampa oof oof" because he has a puppy.
- She still sucks on a bottle (of water) in order to fall asleep. I haven't been brave enough to try to break that habit yet.
- She loves nursery. When other kids turned 18 months and entered nursery they would cry when their parents left; Amy was running to the toys and not even looking back to see where we went. She has so much fun she comes home every Sunday exhausted.
- Amy loves animals. She giggles at the dog next door, and chases our cat around. She's intrigued by fish (she used to call them fishy, but now they are all Nemo).
- Amy was a crier until she was about 4 months old. I thought I would go insane. I don't know if a doctor would have considered it colic, but I was nervous to take her anywhere because she'd go into hysterics without a moment's notice.
- Amy is named after her great-grandma on her daddy's side. I never met her, but she was revered by all!
- Amy does not like heights, being held upside down, or being thrown in the air.
- Unfortunately, Amy has my sweet tooth. She loves candy. She can spot it anywhere. Amy will not keep bows in her hair, and she's always disliked hats except for a cowboy hat her grandma Curtis gave her.
- Like most little girls (and big girls), Amy loves shoes. I'm constantly having to pick up shoes scattered all across our house.
- Amy calls herself "May-me" and has such a sweet voice as she says it!
I love this little girl!! I'm so grateful she is my daughter. She was a difficult infant but has become a joyful toddler - busy, but so FUN! It's great to be her mom.
Amy was tagged by her cousin little John. Now, she is tagging her friends Amber, Grant, Paisley, Gage, and her cousin Meckenzie.

What a great post! I checked my RSS subscription to your blog and jumped to read the entry. I can feel the love that you have for your daughter and all of her personality. It is hard to believe that she is nearing her second birthday.
Hey Renae, I don't have your email and was going to say that we had heard AJ and his fam are moving down under. Is that true? Mine is amandacram at yahoo dot com.
it was great to see you last week! Hope all your travels went well. Your kids are so darling!
K, I don't know if this is the place you want it, but too bad!
11 things about Grant
1. Grant can make any animal noise mommy knows how to make. If he doesn't know them, he makes them up. (Who knew giraffes and elephants speak the same language?)
2. Grant LOVES jumping. One night before bed, he jumped on his bed for more than 40 minutes straight.
3. Grant is a great helper in the kitchen. He unloads the silverware from the dishwasher and dumps it in the drawer, he adds "creative" ingredients to whatever mommy or daddy is fixing, and he loves to sweep.
4. Grant loves Amy. Almost daily he starts saying "maymee maymee maymee" over and over. He cries when mommy says we can't go and see her, and he is all smiles when she comes to play. He loves to give her hugs and kisses (more than she likes to receive them!)
5. Grant is an outside boy. He loves being outside almost more than he loves Amy. He's a great helper too. He's finally learned to smell mommy's flowers instead of picking them.
6. Grant is adopted. Not really big news, but what's special about that is my grandparents talk more about him than any of their other 10 great grand kids. He has really surprised our families with how much they can love someone who is not biologically related to them.
7. Grant is trying to potty train. He will flush the toilet and say "bye bye pee pee" and "P U" when he is poopy. He gets really excited when he gets to sit on the toilet.
8. Grant LOVES playing in water.
9. Grant has amazing rhythm. He often hits tables, floors, walls, chairs, anything and makes rhythm until he starts dancing too much and can't keep the beat and dance at the same time.
10. Grant loves tractors, cars, planes, helicopters, trucks, motorcycles, garbage trucks, trains, bicycles, and any other form of transportation.
11. Grant has always been a Daddy's boy. He loves being with dad as much as possible. After we say our family prayer at night, he will tease mommy and not give her a kiss but will kiss daddy over and over. He has brought so much joy and happiness into our lives. We cannot imagine life without him. He is so happy and easy to love. We are so blessed to have him.
